TITUS BALOYI - CHAIRMAN AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

Titus Baloyi is the founder of Bembani Sustainability Training (Pty) Ltd and holds a Masters degree in Environmental Management and Analysis from the North West University (formerly Potchefstroom University). He also holds directorships in the Bembani Group, Bembani Information Technology, Hlulani Investments, and Vhathu Properties.

Titus Baloyi’s sustainability experience includes working for an academic institution, electric power company, and a multinational petrochemical company in various environmental management and sustainability positions. He has chaired high profile sustainability and corporate governance sessions, and presented numerous papers in the fields of sustainable development, environmental law, environmental management systems, and environmental auditing.

He was involved in the World Summit on Sustainable Development, the UNCSD 13 held in New York in 2005, and the development processes of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development.


VICTOR SIPHUGU - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Victor Siphugu is responsible for Training and Development. His responsibilities include development and offering of sustainability training courses to diverse clientele throughout South Africa. He is currently involved in positioning Bembani to offer Sustainability Training throughout the continent. Over and above his training and capacity building functions, Victor is responsible for carrying out Environmental Impact Assessments, implementation of ISO 14001 EMS and Local Agenda 21, assistance with Water Use Authorisations in terms of the National Water Act, 1998.

Victor holds a Masters degree in Environmental Management and Analysis from Potchefstroom University, and an MSc degree in Botany from Rhodes University.


MAPULA MAKARA- ASSOCIATE

Mapula Makara holds a Masters degree in Environmental Law obtained from the University of London. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Environmental Sociology from the University of the Witwatersrand. She has more than twenty years exposure as a Commercial Lawyer, both within the corporate environment and as a Private Legal Practitioner, negotiating, structuring, drafting agreements and generally advising clients on commercial legal matters.


NGCALI NOMTSHONGWANA - ASSOCIATE

Ngcali Nomtshongwana is responsible for Natural Resource Management and Agribusiness Development. He holds a Masters degree in Environment and Development from Fort Hare University, Bsc (Hons) degree in Plant Conservation and Ethnobotany from the University of Durban-Westville and a BSc degree in Zoology and Botany from the University of KwaZulu Natal (Pietermaritzburg).


GUGULETHU MLANGENI – ASSOCIATE AND REGIONAL MANAGER LIMPOPO & MPUMALANGA

Gugulethu Mlangeni is responsible for the Social and Environmental Assessment Unit of Bembani Sustainability Training (Pty) Ltd as well as the Polokwane Office. She carries out Environmental Impact Assessments, compilation and development of State of the Environment Reports, Integrated Environmental Management Policies, etc. She holds a BSc Honours degree in Environmental Sciences from the North West University (formerly known as the University of North West, (Mmabatho Campus). She is currently registered for a Maters degree in Environmental Management at the North West University (Potchefstroom Campus). She has also completed several short courses in Environmental Management and related fields.
